Life and the world has been so crazy. We don't know what to expect or where to turn.
We are all living in some level of PTSD -- pandemic traumatic stress disorder, as I like to say.
Those who say they don't need therapy or a similar type of support, are fooling themselves. Just saying ;)
So how can we comfort an anxious mind?
Here are 10 ways for you:
1) Turn off the TV/ news/ take social media breaks. Track how much time you are absorbing stressful information, versus practicing self-care.
2) Daily meditation -- I love Insight Timer + Deepak.
3) I've been loving Breathwork with Rob Starbuck. There are plenty others out there too!
4) I am also in love with The Amethyst Biomat. I lay on mine everyday, and give Reiki sessions on it, to those local to Atlanta. Reply to this email if you're interested in a Session! ;)
5) Daily exercise is the best natural kept secret for anxiety! Try it!
6) Get support! Therapy, Life Coaching, Affirmative Prayer, a Reading, Reiki, a Massage, a Getaway, etc.
7) Receive enough human touch. Hugs. Reset the parasympathetic nervous system.
8) Get out into nature. And Ground. Earthing. Forest bathing. Return to the elements.
9) Get into your adaptogenic herbs like ashwagandha, which I love blending into daily drinks.
10) Use calming essential oils like lavender. If you've been following me for a while, you know I love Trader Joe's lavender salt scrub. It's one of my skin secrets! ;) And calming!
