You are most likely arms deep in mashed potatoes, but just wanted to send you a quick Love Note w/ my Top 3 Tips for Thanksgiving:
1) Be Present + ENJOY what you are eating! Studies show that when you eat your food with LOVE, you enjoy easier digestion + feel better afterwards.
Look, I know you're not going to be sitting down with a green juice for your Thanksgiving dinner, + that's totally Okay! ;) Sometimes we really are meant to Live to Eat rather than Eat to Live, especially during a ritual celebration, family gathering, or holiday. There is nothing wrong with indulging for the holidays... so Enjoy what you are doing + LOVE the moment.
2) Don't feel bad about what you ate. Let go of guilt + shame.
It really does you no good. Your body is energy. Did you ever see the movie "What the Bleep Do We Know!?" Our bodies are made up of water, + water absorbs our thoughts. So, LOVE yourself!!! No matter what. ;)
3) Eat something Green. This could be the green smoothie you make for breakfast, before the big meal. It could be the broccoli or salad you put on your plate. Greens are alkalizing + they help us digest the heavier foods. They help balance out the load + leave us feeling lighter + more energized after the meal.
Also, I recommend drinking a green smoothie with fruit, avocado, + leafy greens in the blender for breakfast the next day. It's a great way to bring your body back to balance.
